Background to project:

Launchpad is a unique opportunity for residents in Kensington and Chelsea to get free life coaching to help achieve a positive change in their lives. This is a pilot programme for residents in two of the neighbourhoods in the borough.

The Action Learning Set is one element of the project and this helps inform policy and delivery decisions.

Purpose of project:

Launchpad offers the participant the choice to make the decision about what is important and requires attention in their lives. So it could be someone who wants to help their children do better at school or someone who wants to plan their career progression or get a better job or even someone who wants to become more confident by communicating better.

Launchpad aims to leave the individual with tools that will help them aim higher, achieve better things in life and get more out of life than they are currently getting.

Project activities:

Participants register their details and if suitable are then referred to the programme. The programme starts with two half-day classroom sessions with a professional coach who offers a taster of what life coaching is about and what participants get expect to get out of them.

Following the taster sessions those who attend and then opt to go further are offered eight one to one life caching sessions with their individually assigned life coach. Once registered for the coaching sessions the participant will meet with their coach on a weekly basis to set and achieve goals that lead to a significant positive change in their life.

Project results:

Launcpad will offer 100 individuals a total of 8 hours of one to one coaching each.
