Background to project:The Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation was approached by the Forward Planning Team of Chester City Council to support them in the development of a physical Master Plan for the Lache Estate through a 'Planning for Real' (TM) approach.. Purpose of project:An important element in the production of the Master Plan was that it should tie in closely to the Lache Neighbourhood Element Delivery Plan and take account of the results of other consultations e.g. the Lache Neighbourhood Management Resident Survey Report.. Project activities:In total 11 consultation events were held; these were both open public events and targeted events and were held over a number of days, in different locations and venues, and at different times of the day in order to offer the maximum opportunity for local residents to participate.. Project results:The final report from this project is the culmination of the work undertaken by Lache Neighbourhood Element Interim Board during the development phase of the initiative and brings together evidence and statistics about Lache; issues that face the neighbourhood; information about the Partnership, funding, and relationship with other organisations; and delivery.
