TheDevelopment Education Association (DEA)
is a national organisation that brings together educational agendas related to globalisation and poverty, sustainable development and community cohesion.
This year's conference will bring together the global discourse of citizen engagement and public participation with the government's proposal of the "Big Society". The conference will include policy and practice seminars with key figures in the field of democracy and public engagement.
Involve's Director Simon Burall
will be speaking at the afternoon policy seminar "A Big Society for Sustainable Development". Fellow speakers for this seminar include Ann Finlayson from SEED
and Rebekah Phillips of the Green Alliance.
