Q. I find it hard to read what is on the site. Is there a way of making the text larger?...

A. The size of the text can be changed by using the buttons in the top right corner of the screen (next to the search field). This may make it easier to read the text. We have made efforts to make the site accessible to a wide range of people and we appreciate your thoughts on how we can improve.

Q. The site requires me to log in. Why do I need to do this and what will happen to my personal details?

A. In order to prevent spam and malicious postings some of the interactive functions on the site require you to register and log on. The registration/log in button can be found in the top right hand corner and the registration process has been designed to be as quick and simple as possible. People & Participation Online and Involve will respect your privacy and will not send you unsolicited emails or pass on your details to other organisations. If you have lost your password or have other questions please contact Headshift.

Q. I find it difficult to tell where I am on the site. How can I navigate?

A. We recommend using the 'bread crumb' navigation bar just beneath the People & Participation logo on the left of the screen. Additionally, clicking on the logo in the top left hand corner will always take you back to the front page if you get lost.

Q. How can I contribute to the site?

A. Once you have registered with the site you will be able to comment on most sections of the site. You can leave a comment by clicking on the 'Add comment' button at the bottom of the page. You can also comment on contributions by other site users and on the answers given in the Ask an Expert section. Your comment will then appear beneath this button. You can also add a case study or resource for the library by clicking on the add case study and add resource buttons in the case studies and library sections of the site. Last but not least, you can visit the dedicated feedback section where you can comment on the site as a whole.

Q. I have forgotten my user name and/or password, what should I do?

A. Please contact Headshift or Involve directly and we will do our best to help you.

Q. Is there any way of keeping up to date on the latest news from this site?

A. Certain parts of the site has so called RSS feeds (RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication) which will send you an update as soon as new content is added to that part of the site.

Q. Is there a good way of printing pages from this site?

A. On certain pages there is an Adobe Acrobat button which converts the page into a PDF document which you can then print. The benefit of this is that it is easer to see how many pages you will need to print as well as getting a clearer idea of what the printed version will look like before you actually decide to print.
