Community Power Packs -New and Improved! Yesterday Communities and Local Government launched the new and improved version of the Community Power Pack. Involve was once again a partner in writing and producing the document. The Power pack will be a vital document in the wider consultation around the 'Communities in Control' White Paper proposals.
The White Paper -worth the wait? Involve's director wrote a response to the White Paper on the Guardian blog the day it was launched. In general from Involve's perspective while there is a lot of good stuff in the White paper, on some levels it feels out of kilter with the powerful contemporary movements towards social innovation and open source democracy.
