Participants Checklist

At the detailed planning stage specific questions for identifying appropriate participants should be asked in order to ensure no important sectors are forgotten as in the following:

1. Who is directly responsible for the decisions on the issues?

2. Who is influential in the area, community and/or organisation?

3. Who will be affected by any decisions on the issue (individuals and organisations)?

4. Who runs organisations with relevant interests?

5. Who is influential on this issue?

6. Who can obstruct a decision if not involved?

7. Who has been involved in this issue in the past?

8. Who has not been involved, but should have been?
